What sets this primer apart is that it combines a soft-focus cosmetic finish with botanical ingredients that help maintain skin comfort, rather than simply creating a layer for foundation to sit on. I wouldn't rely on it to correct significant dehydration or barrier impairment, which need to be addressed through skincare, and it wouldn't be my first choice for someone whose priority is strong oil control and a completely matte finish. For skin that needs a smoother makeup base without losing its natural appearance, it's a very well-considered formula.
